The Tin Works – Luxury apartments for Vision Properties, inspired by the industrial heritage of the building.
The idea
When our client Vision Properties asked us to develop a solution for the re-use and renovation of an old tin factory in Yeadon, we looked to the history of the building for inspiration. We wanted to maintain the impressive scale and historic interest of the spaces inside the building when we divided it up into apartments.

The details
- Preserving original features and drawing from the industrial heritage was key to this design. As you enter The Tin Works, you’ll see a beautiful, new curved exposed brick wall in the communal area. There are also exposed original brick features and steelwork in each apartment.
- To create desirable, modern homes, we maximised window sizes and designed open plan layouts so that the living spaces feel generous and light. The penthouse apartments have extra-high ceilings and exposed original roof trusses, enhancing the industrial feel.
